NEW REVIEW AND NEWS UPDATES

The wheels are turning again as the metal machine at RFUSA is coming back to life. A review of the album Fear, Lies & Propaganda by Mongrel is now on the reviews page. We also have new news updates, and they are exciting ones as well, because they feature stories on Timelord, Phoenix Reign, Eternal Winter, Odin’s Court, Concrete Prophet, and Images of Eden bands who represent the cream of the indie metal crop in our humble opinion. Check ‘em out!

More reviews are on the way of albums and EPs by Concrete Prophet, Jaded Faith, Shift, Fountain of Tears, and Diptheria, just to name a few. Whether it is one week old or week years old…we don’t care! Metal is metal and you deserve to read about it. Why? So you can buy more metal, support more bands, bring world peace (well, maybe that’s too much!) and make the world a better place!

YOU CAN'T STOP ROCK AND ROLL: UPDATE ON THE STATUS OF RFUSA

After the crash-bang-boom pace of the first year and a half of RFUSA's existence, I am sure many of you are wondering...what happened to us? Where have we been?

Well, we are still here...in fact we never went away. But anyway...

It has been a very tender time for us all in the last half-year. While I could pander on about issues that no one wants to hear about (like me doing some spiritual soul searching, crashing computers, high gas prices, writers block and whatnot), the biggest event of all happened to us at 9:47 p.m. on February 18, 2008. On that evening, my darling wife (and webmaster) Andrea and I welcomed our daughter Lillian Marie into the world. An event like that really causes you to put life into perspective and you start to realize what is the most important. The most important matter in our lives from that February evening forward is the care and well-being of our daughter. Everything else, naturally, comes second.

But, many successful band members, journalists, and people from all walks of life manage being parents successfully. We shall as well.

Most of all...RFUSA will not quit.

In the next few months, new reviews will be rolling out onto the site, as well as a new feature and hopefully some more interviews. Be patient with us and you will be rewarded. Sure, some of the reviews may be of albums that aren't exactly brand new...but that does not mean that they don't deserve to be reviewed! Whether it be five days, five months, or five years old, metal is metal...you deserve to know about it! We promise to always bring the best to you. Doing things half-assed is not in our job description. Quality and commitment is...that will never change.

Anyway, keep the faith and keep it loud! Stay tuned!
